Pastor Dave came to Christ at the age of 10 during Vacation Bible School. He tells us, "I think I followed Jesus as well as any ten year old boy can. But around the age of fifteen, for many reasons (none of them good) I began to drift away from the Lord. Before long that turned into full blown rebellion which continued until I was twenty-six years of age. Without going into a lot of detail, I made a promise to my brother to attend a church one Sunday. The Holy Spirit convicted me there and I left as quickly as I could. However, the next week I found myself back there, and later that week at home I cried out to the Lord, and He heard me. I rededicated my life to the Lord then. That was the summer of 1984. Soon I felt the Lord reminding me of His call on my life when I was younger and surrendered to the call to preach the gospel." Pastor Dave was the pastor of another church for five years, and has been the pastor of LRBC since October 2004.
Favorite Scripture: Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Favorite Bible Character: The Apostle John
Favorite Bible Story: Too many. But the story of the Prodigal Son is very close to my heart, for obvious reasons.
